Founder & principal
It’s safe to say that Ashley loves strategy as much as she loves to ski. And that’s a lot. She was on snow by age two and exploring the world around her as soon as she could talk. She has yet to back down from a challenge, be it launching her boutique PR firm in 2015, leading communications for Vail Resorts’ Hospitality and Real Estate divisions, or nailing a 2,000-foot mogul run without stopping. That talent—keeping her eyes down the hill while navigating over and around the obstacles—epitomizes Ashley’s management style. She leads through the turns, fostering connections between people, ideas, and strategy. An expert communicator, Ashley’s worked with a variety of clients ranging from Colorado Ski Country USA, Vail Resorts, TGI Friday’s, University of Colorado Hospital and Colorado Lottery, among many others. She founded Betty Ashley Public Relations because she is passionate about guiding strategy and leading teams to their full potential, ultimately helping brands thrive.
What she calls her “gift of gab” we call “incredible people skills.” Coupled with more than a decade of public relations experience, working with large agencies, state tourism boards, corporations, leading hospitality groups and small businesses, Caitlin guides clients in messaging, reaching key targets, and achieving results. Not only will she help identify your brand’s touch points, she’ll also secure coverage in top-tier national and regional outlets. She’s more organized than an excel spreadsheet, and you won’t find a better stylist for photo shoots, layouts, fashion, and more. With a passion for travel, home, family and cooking, she lives the lifestyles she markets, which makes her the perfect beta tester, always able to consider strategies from all perspectives.
With a reporter’s curiosity and the instincts of a public relations expert, Kate excels at uncovering the details that bring client stories to life. She asks terrific questions. Better yet, she listens to the answers. Really listens. Whether it’s devising strategy with a client, securing press coverage, or planning a media trip, Kate’s insight always improves the outcome. A North Carolina native, Kate joined a top Denver public relations agency in 2008. In 2012, she relocated to Vail for a senior PR position at the Vail Valley Foundation where she spearhead public relations and marketing efforts for the February 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships. There she juggled international and national media, some of the biggest names in ski racing, and the intersection of new media with the tradition-rich culture of ski racing. She recently relocated to Denver and works with a range of lifestyle and travel brands, and nonprofits.
When Colorado native Katie Converse began her public relations career, she followed her passions: mountains, hospitality, travel and enterprise. For more than a decade, she’s worked tirelessly to promote some of the world’s most elite ski destinations. Her knowledge of Colorado as both tourist and business hubs underscores her thoroughness; when you’re Katie’s client, she won’t rest until she knows everything she can about your brand and mission. Then she uses that knowledge to collaborate with the team on an original, effective campaign. Katie has worked on accounts as varied as the Brown Palace Hotel & Spa, the Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art, Visit Golden, and the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships at Vail and Beaver Creek. Her extensive network of regional, national and international media ensures she will find the right people to tell your brand’s story to audiences near and far.
